United Airways receive ‘Most Respected Company Award-2012’

United Airways (BD) Limited, the country’s largest private airline has received “Business Asia Most Respected Company Award-2012” for contribution to the aviation sector’0s growth.

Syed Abdul Muqtadir, Senior Advisor of the airline, received
the award on behalf of the company from Philippines Ambassador in
Dhaka Bahnarim Abu Guinomla at his Embassy, said a press release
today.

First Vice President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Monowara Hakim Ali and second Vice
President Helal Uddin attended the function. Business Asia
Business Magazine gave the award.

United Airways, the first ever-public limited company in
aviation sector of Bangladesh, is now operating international
routes from Dhaka to Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur,
Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata and also from Chittagong to Muscat
and Kolkata.

The airline is operating flights to all major domestic
sectors from Dhaka.

The airline has total nine aircraft– two DASH 8-100, two
ATR-72, three MD-83 and two Airbus-310, the release added.
