Speaker for CCTV surveillance in DNCC to ensure public safety
— May 26, 2016DHAKA,: Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday inaugurated the high-powered closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera surveillance in the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) area at a function at Gulshan Youth Club playground here.
“The CCTV surveillance programme would monitor different activities in the city corporation area like traffic-jam, criminal activities and garbage disposals alongside with ensuring public safety,” she said.
LOCC, DMP and DNCC introduced the CCTV monitoring prograame in association with the Gulshan, Baridhara, Banani and Niketan societies and Gulshan Youth Club.
Chaired by DNCC Mayor Annisul Huq, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokan, Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque, RAB Director General Benzir Ahmed, Local Government division secretary M Abdul Malek and AKM Rahmatullah, MP, were present, on the occasion.
