DHAKA: Chittagong customs officials today seized 40 pieces of gold bars , 4.65-kg, worth about Taka 2.3 crore and arrested one from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
The arrested were identified as Abdur Shukkur, 50, of Fatikchhari in Chittagong, who came from Maskat by Oman Air flight-WY 311 at 6 pm.
The gold was recovered from battery chambers of a 6 charger light while exiting airport. A legal action is underway.
