Mohammad Gofranul Haque is one of the leading business personalities and a dedicated social worker who has been contributing significantly to the growth of our national economy. He was born in a respectable Muslim family on July 1, 1971 at a village Harichail under Kachua upazilla of Chnadpur district. His father Late Hafez Md. Zakarul Haque was a renowned and highly reputed religions personality in the society. His mother Late Maksuda Haque was a housewife who came of an aristocratic Muslim family. Mr. Gofranul Haque obtained his secondary education from Burugi High School and sccured 1st division in the S.S.C examination held in 1987. Afterwards he got admitted into Dhaka Govt. Science College and passed H.S.C in science group in 1989 with 1st division. Later on he studied in Botany in Jahangirnagar University and did his B.sc (Hon’s) and M.Sc in Microbiology in the year 1993 and 1994 respectively securing 1st class.

Mr. Gofranul Haque got married with Jahanara Akter in 2001 and blessed with one daughter named Tasnim Jahan Haque Nahia. During his student life in college and university he was associated with various social activities. After completion of academic education he initiated his career as a businessman and side by side he continued his social services also. Mr. Gofranul Haque established Maksuda Haque Foundation in memory of his beloved mother in his native village where he rendered commendable services in education, health and sanitary sectors in a bid to eradicate poverty and illiteracy of his locality. He is in fact a born social worker and service oriented personality. His wife is also an active Lion and at present serving as club secretary of L/C of Dhaka Power Source.

Mr. Gofranul Haque joined Lionism in 1999 under the sponsorship of Ln. Nepal Chandra Biswas as a Charter Member of Lions Club of Dhaka Balaka. During his last 10 years involvement in Lionism Ln. Gofranul Haque held various positions both in club and district level.
