Staff Correspondent: Md Motior Rahman has been re appointed as Managing Director (MD) of Jamuna Bank Limited, said a press release. He joined the bank on September 15, 2005 as Deputy Managing Director. He was promoted to the position of Additional Managing Director in the bank in April 2007.
Subsequently he was appointed Managing Director of the bank on February 01, 2009. Before joining Jamuna Bank Limited he was the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Credit of Prime Bank Limited. Mr Rahman obtained his Master’s degree in Accounting from Dhaka University in 1971.
He started his banking career with Pubali Bank Limited in 1973 as a Senior Officer having been recruited by the Bankers’ Recruitement Committee. He worked there until 1991 in different capacities. In 1991 he joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.
