Staff Correspondent: Gandaria Kishalaya Kochi-Kanchar Mela, an old and well established socio-cultural organization of old Dhaka welcomed the Spring,1427 by holding different programs such as 3-Days Cake Festival and a Reception Ceremony to Poet Rukhsana Parvin and Poet Parvin Shila at its premises on Saturday,February 13,2021. Both this two poets were honored with Poet Sufia Kamal Crests ffor their outstanding contributions in poetry of Bangla Literature. Poet Rukhsana Parvin teaches at the Department of Bangla of Government Bangla College. Mirpur, Dhaka and Poet Parvin Shila, works for PEP of Bangladesh Rural Development Board, BRDB at Shibchar, Madaripur. Alongside her job she keeps her busy with writing poems, short story and so on. She comes of respectable family of Jutigram under Mukhshedpur Upazilla of Gopalgonj. Her father-in-Laws’ house is at Baghuria,under Baligram Union of Madaripur.
Mr. Shahidullah Minu, a Pannel Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation, DNCC gave away the crests between the poets as Chief Guest while on behalf of Gandaria Kishalaya Kochi-Kanchar Mela Mr. A.M Shafiqur Rahman Dulu chaired the function. Later on the chief guest Mr. Shahidullah Minu, A.M Shafiqur Rahman Dulu, the two poets and other guests gave away certificates to the participants of the Cake Festival. Students of Kishalaya Kochi-Kanchar Mela took part in dances and songs to mark the program. Mahmudul Hoque Khan Dulal, Acting Editor of Business Express, a National Fortnightly, his two daughters and son Mouri Haque Dola and Mehrab Hoque Khan also attended the function.
