Sonargaon was the capital of Bengal during the gn of Isha Kha. Noted industrialist Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman was born in Sonargaon, the land of traditional folklore. His father was Late. Alhaj Miah Chan and Mother Late. Alhaj Jarnila Khatoon. After finishing his educational career he started his career through trade and commerce. By dint of his merit and labour he created a position in business circle by holding important position. He got his recognition as businessman. He was elected several times as a director of Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex organization of Businessmen and industrialists. Noted personality Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman performed leading role in business circle. He was elected as president of Narayangonj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) consecutively for several years. As President of Narayangonj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) he was well-known in the business circle as chamber personality. He had done lot for improvement of trade and business of Narayangonj. He is a life member and Executive Committee Member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman has been selected as CIP (Commercially Important Person) by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Earlier also he was CIP (Commercially Important Person). Presently he is the Director of IBCCI (India Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry). He was the Director of Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Bangladesh .Knit Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Bangladesh Yarn Merchant Association. He played a pioneer role in the above organizations from important position. He was awarded Deshbandhu Chittaranjon Das gold medal in 1997, 1998 and 1999 as a successful president of Narayangonj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI). He was awarded in 1999 Shere-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Haque gold medal as recognition for his social service. He was awarded Arthokantho business award 2003, 2004 and 2005, Children and Women Vision Foundation gold medal 2006 and Desher Kagoj Business award 2006 and 2007 as recognition for his contribution in trade and commerce. He was awarded Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) for his contribution in industrialization and Social Service. He was Awarded Mother Teresa gold medal 2007, 2008 for his contribution in successful industrialization, Atish Diponkor Sreegyan gold Medal 2008, Syed Abul Kahhar best performance award 2008. He received Bangladesh Mobile Phone Businessman Association (BMBA) award 2009 awarded by Bangladesh Mobile Phone Businessman Association (BMBA) from the hand of His Excellency President of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Md. Zillur Rahman. He received Arthokantho Businessman award 2009 from Novel Laureate Dr. Md. Younus awarded by Arthokantho Publication and Arthokantho award 2010 as business leader of the year awarded by Arthokantho Publication.

Self confident Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman desires to establish himself as trader and industrialist by expansion of his trade and business to fulfill his vision. He is the chairman of B.R. Spinning Mills Ltd., M.R. Sweater Composite Ltd., Julia Sweater Composite Ltd., Can-Am Garments (Pvt.) Ltd., B.R. Zipper (Pvt.) Ltd., Refat International Co., Emon Corporation and M.R. Sourcing Ltd. All are under M.R. Group. He is Managing Director of B.R. Spinning Mills Ltd., Julia Sweater Composite Ltd. and B.R. Zipper (Pvt.) Ltd. By the grace of almighty Allah thousands of workers and employees have found their source of living by working in the industries established by Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman. He has been playing pioneer role in establishing backward linkage industry of garments sector. On this issue he expressed his opinions in various meetings and seminars as a prime speaker. He is involved in various social development works along with expansion of trade and industry. He is a God fearing personality. He performed holy Haj and Omrah for satisfaction of Allah. Besides these he has been patronizing various Schools, Colleges, Mosques, Madrashas and Orphanage as service to the society.

Alhaj Mohammed Bazlur Rahman is a life member and donor member of Bangladesh Lions Foundation, Anjuman-E-Mofidul Islam and Bangladesh Scout. During natural calamity he stands by the side of helpless poor people as their relatives. He played a glorious role as ex-reign Chairman of Lions Club International. District- 315 A/2. He got USA Melvin Jones Medal during 1991, 1992 which is the highest award of Lionism. He was also awarded various medals as recognition of his services to society and Lions Club. He is also noted for encouraging sports. He is donor member of Narayangonj Rifle Club and life member of Narayngonj Club. He has been conducting various developments of the people who are neglected in the society. He visited USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Australia, Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Middle East Countries as member of various trade forums and on personal and official works. He gathered sufficient knowledge by exchanging views with the people of those countries engaged in various trade and profession.
