M.H Dulal: Today is the 52 Birth Anniversary of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.Russel was borne on this day of the year of 1964 at their 32, Dhanmondi Resdence in the capital city. But it was ill luck would have that this innocent boy who was only ten years old when he was brutally killed along with almost all his family members and near and dear ones on the August15,1975. Some unruly members of army and the local and international conspirators did this heinous killing. The present Prime Minister Jananetri Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana narrowly escaped from this gruesome killing as they were outside of the country.Sheikh Russel was only a student of class four at that time. We pray to the Almighty Allah for the salvation of the departed soul of all martyrs of August 15, 1975.
