Desk Report: Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Elena Vesnina reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon tennis championship after registering a straight-set victory over Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Polish Agnieszka Radwanska in the women’s doubles event on Tuesday.
The fourth seeded Indo-Russian pair beat the 13th seeds 6-4, 6-3 in the third round of the women’s doubles.
They will now take on N Llagostera Vives and A Parra Santonja of Spain in the quarterfinals of the prestigious Grand Slam tournament.
