DHAKA: Leaders of Trade Union Centre (TUC) today said there is no place for anti-liberation Jamaat and its student wing Chhatra Shibir in the country for the welfare of the workers.
Terming the Jamaat-Shibir as enemies of the country, the leaders said the groups are spreading communalism in the country and using religions as their shield. They are working against the interest of women work force.
TUC General Secretary Wajedul Islam Khan read out a written statement at a press briefing arranged by the organization at Liberation War Museum in city’s Segunbagicha area.
TUC President Shahidullah Chowdhury also spoke at the briefing.
