DHAKA: The 8th national taekwondo competition began yesterday (Sunday) at the National Sports Council gymnasium in the city.
On the first day of the competition, Ayesha Chowdhury Adar of child section (7-12) placed in first position while Nusrat Jahan stood second and Raida Nahar finished third in the meet.
Organised by Bangladesh International Taekwondo Association, a total of 160 players from different districts and associations from across the country are competing in three-day meet.
The competition will be held in three categories. The categories are kids (boys 7 girls), junior (boys & girls) and senior (boys& girls).
