Naaz Farhana Ahmed is a hardworking and talented woman entrepreneur of the country. This Bangladeshi lady got involved with cottage industry’s business while studying at Dhaka University is a youth icon, a source of inspiration for the young generation. With a very courageous approach united with the poor people of the country she inspired the working class and kept herself involved in economic and social activities. With merit and confidence, honesty and wisdom she created an example of tackling many troubles strongly through FBCCI and Women Entrepreneurs Association. Apart from that, she feels comfortable in expanding slum development workshop, hygienic sanitation, distributing books among kids, giving Tiffin. She has been working for an era in this field. She also made arrangements for income of day laborers, such as selling news papers, flowers and water.

She provided financial assistance to create employment in order to resolve unemployment problems. She contributed directly to eradicate poverty of the handicapped people by buying them equipment. She has been working amidst of poor & helpless children for an era. Also she feels comfortable to support unity with handicapped and socially crippled women and to work with them. Her endeavors are well known in all spheres regarding cottage industry. She has been a pioneer in the economy of the country as a woman entrepreneur. She has been traveling all over the world of small & medium industry for almost two decades. She has special training on small & medium industry. Since 1984 she has been exporting handicrafts to many countries of the world. Her role is outstanding in prospering village and folk industry. She is also famous as an expert designer in the country and abroad. Creative artworks invented by her have received a different dimension which is being exported with quality. Business as a profession Naaz Fahana’s main obsession is social service. Recently she also involved herself in agricultural research. She is always dedicated for taking care of the working class of the society.

This creative lady is a member of many clubs including Dhaka club of the country and is also a Rotarian. Farhana Ahmed’s business firm “Kanak Handicrafts” is playing a vital role in the expansion of village and folk industry. Managing Director of Kanak Handicrafts Naaz Farhana Ahmed is the Senior Vice President of the Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) & Global Editor, World’s Powerful women. She also serves as Chairperson, Program Activities- United Nations Women Association, UNWA, Bangladesh. She represented Bangladesh in Geneva, ITC for integration of Exportable in April 2008. She is the Vice Chairperson of SAARC Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC). She trained up hundreds of women and helped them to get employment opportunities. She is the role model of women who does not want anything in return rather she works voluntarily to make the nation poverty free. Ms. Naaz Farhana Ahmed helped to obtain entrepreneurship development for many women. She has very modern technical of expending Bangladesh with excellent technical knowhow. Her efforts are recognize in the United Nations Women Foundations as well. By experimenting with Jute arid synthetic blend, she has created a new type of improved carpet. With an aim of establishing a joint venture carpet industry, she has pulled up an Iranian family through the ladders of the society and helped establish them. She did riot take any personal gains from them. Instead, she provided Support to many new businesspersons. This commodity will be exported abroad. Naaz Farhana has a vast experience of traveling to over 64 countries of the world. She has led many trade Fairs of the world. Myanmar. Morocco and Washington are notable.

Now her main goal is to eradicate unemployment and improve the economy of the country. At present, work of her many projects are in progress. She has founded old homes for senior citizens. She is also involved with kitchen garden, nurse training center advanced medical center for women etc. Well reputed businessperson, Aga Ahmed Yousuf of Alpha Tobacco is her husband. Proud mother of a boy and a girl. Naaz Farhana is upbringing her children with sharp intelligence and studies. She is the daughter-in law of famous industrialist  Late Aga Yousuf. Naaz Farhana is the granddaughter of Professor Abu Hena, a renowned academician and Professor of English literature of the subcontinent. Her father late Morad Waiz was the director of BSEC. BADC. BPC and BCIC, Chairman of Ciba Geigy. and was a senior secretary. Late Dr. Major General Anis Waiz was her uncle. She received so many Awards/Crests so far for her outstanding contribution to our economy as well as the welfare of the society.
