Mahmudul Hoque Khan Dulal: Moumita Haque Khan Senjutee bagged two prizes as she stood first in both the Classical Music and Nazrul Sangit as well at a cultural competition held at the Dhaka University TSCauditorium on Monday. The day long program was attended by many students and took part in different segments. Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof. A A M S Arefin Siddique give away the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Moumita Haque Senjutee, a Second year student of English Department practices music since her childhood..As a highly meritorious student she cut a good figure in all through her student life as of today. A couple of months back Senjutee did excellent result in her first Semester with first class marks and secured the top position, a family source informed. Senjutee immediately performed in almost all TV Channels including BTV and gained huge popularity as a good singer. It was possible due to their father’s relentless efforts to bring them to this height. As their mother had to so busy with her banking job it was so difficult from her part to make adequate time for extending support them for extra curricular activities along side their studies.
Her only elder brother Sajid Ul Hoque Aabir also studied in the same department of this University and completed his Hons. in English and M.A in Applied Linguistics with brilliant success. He also stood first class third in both the classes. Aabir is in real sense a personality of versatile qualities as he is involved in many creative activities such as composing music, gives vocal, write poems, short stories, novels, make short films etc. Now he teaches English at the University of Asia Pacific as a newly appointed Lecturer.The preface of his first novel titled “Shesh Bashanter Golpo” was written by Prof. Sirajul Islam Chowdhury and acclaimed it as a good novel and marked him a prospective one in the world of writings. Aabir is also involved in journalism since 2009. He has been writing on many issues in the top level dailies of the country including short stories, articles and so on. Since 2014 his works are four and these are Shesh Bikeler Golpo (2014), Missing Person-Patric Modian ( Translation-2015), Aiyas Alir Dana (2016), State against the Nation- Dr. Ahmed Kamal ( Translation,2016). He is the winner of first season of the prestigious Muse Masters Poetry Contest which was organized by British Council Mosoon.
Moumita Haque Senjutee and Aabir comes of a respectable family ( a renowned Kha Bari, people call Chairman Bari also) of Madaripur. Their native village name is North Baghuria under Baligram Union of Kalkini, Madaripur. But they were raised here in Dhaka city since their birth at Bangladesh bank Colony, Faridabad Dhaka and go their ancestral home hardly. Their mother Rokeya Begum Milon was a banker and took retirement this year as Joint Director and father Enamul Haque Khan Enu is a journalist by profession. He was the Executive Editor of Anandadhara, one of the leading entertainment fortnightly of the country since long and went retirement this year too.
