Md. Shahidullah Azim, a very renowned and leading business personality of the country who has been contributing a lot to the growth of our national economy since two decades. Mr. Azim was born in 1958 at a respectable Muslim family in Luxim Bazar area of the captal city Dhaka. Mr. Shahidullah Azim did his B.Sc from University of Dhaka and Later on performed a scholarship from Japan on Top Management. After completion his academic education Mr. Shahidullah Azim took business as career by joining as the Managing Director of Classic Fashion Concern (Pvt.) Ltd., a garments Buying House in the year of 1991. As Mr. Shahidulla Azim was so hard working and sincere enough he established many business organizations during the past over two decades. At present he is the Managing Director of Classic Fashion Concept Ltd., a Garments Buying Division, Classic Fashion Concept Ltd., Garments Industry, Chairman, Classic Agro resources Ltd., Agriculture Farm, Classic Assets, Developer, Chairman, Design Inspiration Ltd., Interior & Fashion Design and Director, Al-Madina Diagnostic Services Ltd.

Asked about the present status of business environment, this well experienced business personality replied positively and said, “The overall business environment is not bad. The Present government in sincere enough and extend its all out cooperation of continue our business activities smoothly. But sometimes a vested quarter wants to create troubles in RMG sector in the name of many issues”. In another query Mr. Shahidulla Azim is very much optimistic about the future of readymade garment industry and said, adding, “We are hopeful that our garments industries will expand its business activities more in days to come and we will be able to earn enough foreign currencies also”. But about law and order situation he expressed deep concern and urged the concerned authorities to take necessary measures in a bid to combat terrorism as well as other unlawful activities from the society so that people could live peacefully and could run their business without any impediments.

Apart from business activities Mr. Shahidullah Azim keeps himself busy with other socio-cultural activities. He is involved in many socio-cultural organizations. He is a Director of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturer and Exporters Association (BGMEA), President, All community Club Ltd., Gulshan, Dhaka, Vice-President, Bangladesh Basketball Federation, Vice-President, the Gregorian Association, Director, Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is an Ex-Director of Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Member of Kurmitola golf Club Ltd., Uttara Club Ltd.

As part of Corporate Social Responsibilities Mr. Shahidullah Azim extends his support and co-operation to those who are quite helpless and also who are poverty stricken of the society. Regarding CSR this reputed businessman says every well off person of the society should come-up with their cooperation to help the poor people. Especially in natural disasters like cyclone ‘Sidr’, ‘Ayla’, Floods, the victims become helpless and in a bid to extend support the rich man as well as the leading business people should come forward. As Mr. Shahidullah Azim has been contributing significantly to the growth of our national economy as well as the welfare of the society, he has been honored many times so far by many socio-cultural organizations His business has made him travel many countries across the world including India, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Netherland, UK, Germany, France & USA.
