Govt hands over responsibility among ministers during JS session

Govt hands over responsibility among ministers during JS session

DHAKA: The government has handed over responsibilities
to ministers during the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) session as the maiden session of
the 11th parliament is set to begin today.

The Cabinet Division on Monday issued a notification entrusting ministers
concerned with the responsibility for their ministries and divisions and in
absence of the ministers concerned with alternative ministers, state
ministers and deputy ministers.

Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak will reply to queries and perform duties
related to any ministry as additional duty if the minister concerned and
alternative minister, state minister and deputy minister to the minister
remain absent during the JS session.

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, however, will perform the duty as
additional responsibility in absence of Abdur Razzak.

Apart from his ministry, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque
will perform the duties of the Prime Minister’s Office and Cabinet Division
during the session.

In absence of AKM Mozammel Haque, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir
Gazi will perform the duties of the Prime Minister’s Office and Cabinet
Division as additional responsibility.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan will perform the duties of Road
Transport and Bridges Ministry in absence of its Minister Obaidul Quader as
additional responsibility.

In absence of Abdur Razzak, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder will
perform the duties of Agriculture Ministry as additional responsibility
during the JS session.

AKM Mozammel Haque will perform the duties of Home Affairs Ministry as
additional responsibility during the JS session in absence of its minister
Asaduzzaman Khan.

In absence of Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Cultural Affairs
Minister KM Khalid will perform the duties of Information Ministry as
additional responsibility.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq will perform
the parliamentary affairs duties of the Election Commission Secretariat and
Defence Ministry along with his own ministry.

In absence of Anisul Huq, Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rejaul
Karim will perform the duties of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Ministry and Election Commission Secretariat while Obaidul Quader will
perform the duties of Defence Ministry.

In absence of Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Planning Minister MA
Mannan will perform the duties of Finance Minister and vice versa.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam will perform the duties of
President’s Office and Armed Forces Division during the JS session along with
his own ministry.

In absence of Tajul Islam, State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan
Bhattacharya will perform the duties of his own ministry while Obaidul Quader
will perform the duties of President’s Office and Armed Forces Division.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will perform the duties of the Women and
Children Affairs Ministry along with her own ministry.

In absence of Dipu Moni, Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan
Chowdhoury will perform the duties of his own ministry while State Minister
for Public Administration Farhad Hossain will perform the duties of Women and
Children Affairs Ministry.
