DHAKA: Global Menstrual Hygiene Day will be observed today in the country with a call to create awareness about menstrual hygiene management.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will organise a colorful road show at Manik Mia Avenue where State Minister for Women and Children affairs Meher Afroz Chumki will attend the event as the chief guest, said a press release here today.
Youth Red Crescent members of different schools and colleges, students of B A Siddique Red Crescent Nursing Institute and member of the board of directors and employees of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society will join the event, among others.
Besides, Red Crescent Society also organised a daylong awareness build up training yesterday among some top ranked schools in the city including Scholastica, Wills Little Flower School and Moghbazar Girls High School to celebrate the day.
