DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday said the people of Bangladesh will reject BNP in the next general elections like in Tuesday’s Khulna City Corporation (KCC) polls.
“The KCC polls proved that the votes of Awami League have increased in Khulna region like in other parts of the country…The female and young voters made the big margin of votes between the two candidates of Awami League and BNP,” he said, speaking at a press conference on the KCC polls.
The press conference was held at the AL President Sheikh Hasina’s political office at Dhanmondi here.
Quader said the popularity of BNP is decreased day by day for their negative mentality and a big defeat is waiting for them in future.
