CID arrests 9 more over question paper leakage

DHAKA: Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
arrested nine more persons for their alleged involvement in the question
paper leakage ahead of the SSC examination scheduled to be held from February
2.

“We have arrested nine persons in the last few days for their involvement
in question paper leakage. With them, 46 members of the ring have so far been
arrested in the last one and a half years, “an official release said.

The CID has claimed that they have completely uprooted the question paper
leakage gang with arrested the nine through this week.

The arrestees were identified as Hafizur Rahman, Abdur Rahman Ramiz, Rimon
Hossain, Saidur Rahman Sayeed, Mohaiminul Islam, Masud Rahman Tajul, Jahangir
Alam, Mosharraf Hossain Mosa, and Ashim Biswas.

Of the arrestees, three are students of Pharmacy Department of Dhaka
University.

CID in its investigation has found that the gang members have amassed
around Taka 30 crore by leaking question paper. Legal action was taken to
this end.
