Md. Mahmudul Hoque Khan Dulal is a journalist by profession. He is also  the General Secretary of Bangladesh Business Journalist Society, BBJS. At present he has been carrying out his responsibilities as the editor & publisher of a Bilingual online news paper REFLECTION NEWS.COM.He is also the Editor-in-Charge of Business Express,an English National Economic Fortnightly. Since late eighties (1989-1990) when he was a final year student in English Literature he started to write in magazines and dailies as a translator and as of today he has been working in this field. Md. Mahmudul Hoque Khan Dulal comes of a respectable Muslim family (widely known as ‘Kha Bari in the locality) on March 25, 1967 (according to S.S.C certificate) at a village Baghuria of Baligram Union under Kalkini Upazila, Madaripur. His father late Yeasin Khan was a pious Muslim and mother Amina Khatun (Bona Bibi) who breathed her last on March 06,2010 due to her old age complications at the age of 90(approximately) was also a very religious one. He is the youngest one among six brothers and two sisters. After successful completion of his S.S.C(Agr.Science) with first division in 1982 from Public Institution and H.S.C (Science) in 1984 from Govt. Nazimuddin College, Madaripur he got admitted himself in the then Govt. jagannath College as a student of first batch of the newly introduced English Department for Honours Course at the end of 1984.He went in for the Honours Final Exam in 1989 ( Was supposed to held held in 1987) but could not complete the examinations due to his serious illness. He was compelled to stop the examinations and had to take rest for a few months. Then after recovery from the illness he completed his graduation degree ( With English) within a short preparation of 3 months and get admitted himself in Dhaka University in 1990 in M.A in Linguistics, a two year preliminary course and secured 2nd Class. .

His elder brother Enamul Haque Khan is also a journalist by profession who used to  work in a leading entertainment fortnightly Anandadhara as Execrtive Editor. But around two years bacck he took retirement from his job.  Being inspired he followed the footsteps of him and got involved in journalism. Since 1990 Mahmudul Hoque worked in many dailies and magazines as well. He also worked in the Bangladesh Times, a state-run English daily (now defunct) for a short while before its closure by the then Government. He used to write entertainment reports in the weekly Anandapatra, Fortnightly Priojon and The Dainik Bangla. A founding Chief Editor of Business Express, an English fortnightly Mahmudul Hoque also worked in the Financial Mirror, an English weekly for about long seven years as Special Correspondent. Very recently he has written a book titled “REFLECTIONNEWS: 100 Illustrious & Leading Business Personalities of Bangladesh” after a long tremendous research works which has been highly acclaimed by the valued readers both at home and abroad as a good read. He also wrote another monograph titled 50 Leading Personalities of Trade, Commerce & Industry few months back. A monograph on 50 Luminaries & Leading Personalities of Bangladesh is to be published very shortly.

Alongside his profession as a member of mass media Mr. Dulal is actively involved with the  politics of Bangladesh Awami League.He is currently carrying out his responsibilities as the Secretary, Publicity & Publication Affairs, Bangladesh Awami Muktijodda League, Centarl Committee.

In personal life Mr. Mahmudul Hoque Khan Dulal is married and blessed with two children namely Mouri Hoque Dola studying at Jaagannath University as a first year student in English Literature and Mehrab Hossin Khan Pinjar, a student of class Eight at Rajarbagh Police Lines School and College, Dhaka. Although his wife Ms. Parvin Akter works with  BRDB but keeps herself busy with writing poems, short stories and articles on various contemporary issues every now and then.
